We do "NOT" take sub boxes back because your subwoofers don't fit! There are a numerous amount of subwoofers available on the market today, and all of them have a different recommended hole diameter size and mounting depth. Our maximum approx. standard hole openings (diameters) are as follows:
15" hole diameter: 13-3/4"
12" hole diameter: 11"
10" hole diameter: 9-3/16"
8" hole diameter: 7-1/4"
Square opening for Kicker subs are made to their specs. Please make sure that these opening sizes and the mounting depths will work for your subwoofers before ordering your box.
Our boxes are sealed at every seam and divider using Nail Pro Panel and Construction Adhesive, manufactured by OSI Sealants. This product is waterproof and weatherproof, and is designed for interior and exterior use.
Our standard terminal cup for our
boxes is a screw-on, spring loaded,
gold terminal, capable of taking up to 12 gauge wire or banana clips. These terminals are not sealed in place before shipping, as this makes it difficult to attach the wires when installing your speakers.
Our standard carpet in Muzicon II. This is the most widely used carpet in the automotive audio industry. Our standard colors are Charcoal Gray, Black, Light Gray & Tan
Our standard and custom fit boxes are made using a combination of 5/8" and 3/4" MDF. Some box manufacturers boast of using nothing but 3/4" MDF. While there is nothing wrong with this, due to the small size and limited air space of most custom fit boxes, there is no performance advantage to using 3/4", so you are just adding weight and cost for no reason and making the internal air volume and mounting depth smaller.
